BTW: stumbled in London's National Gallery this week by accident. Standing two feet from, for example, Van Gogh's Sunflowers blew my drooling fan boy mind: you can see the actual brush strokes. One other example: on a Monet painted on the beach you can see grains of sand in the paint and bits of shell fragments too. Strolling through the place is the equivalent of a real-life history of western art college course.
I teach art history at a university here in Ohio. I like to make cute crafty things, play with my Old English Sheepdog, cook good food and when the weather is nice, I like to be outside.
